Using Windows 9 comes with its set of challenges since Microsoft never officially released this version. Consequently, there are no official updates available. However, Windows 9 shares many foundational elements with both Windows 8 and 10. To address the lack of updates, we have adapted an auto-patcher that allows users to update Windows 9 and incorporate various Windows features and plugins.
It’s important to note that the standard Windows updates should be approached cautiously. Installing them may lead to issues, particularly with the taskbar in some applications, causing it to malfunction. This malfunction can result in the inability to click on the close, maximize, or minimize buttons. As a precaution, only install these updates if you encounter specific issues. Instead, the auto-patcher is recommended for installing additional Windows features and tools, such as various versions of Visual C++ runtime, Silverlight, Adobe Flash Player, and more. These patches are designed to work seamlessly with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 9.
Exercise caution when considering operating system updates; if unsure, it’s advisable to skip them. Visual C++ updates significantly enhance application compatibility within the operating system, so it is recommended to apply them consistently. Keep in mind that updates for Visual Studio 2022 and .NET are separate, and it’s crucial to use the correct 32-bit or 64-bit versions.
